The End of the Beginning

I haven't blogged much for a long time, though I have wanted to. I'm not sure exactly why I haven't. There is a demotivation poster from despair.com that says, "Blogging: Never before have so many people with so little to say said so much to so few." I really laughed at that when I first saw it. I still do. The truth can be funny and hurtful.

The time has come to get my ducks in a row. I want to ensure that my old blog post are preserved and I want to start off with a clean slate. So this is where I'm starting, with Postach.io and Evernote.com.

I've used Evernote for years as my goto place to dump everything. It's really become unorganized. (That's another duck that I want to get marching in line with the rest). it's a handy place to dump everything. And now I'm going to put all my old blog post there from blogs of bygone eras.

The earliest one that I have is from 2004. Back then I was using a platform called greymatter. Since then I've used a few different ones. some of my own design. I owned jamesb[dot]com for many years and those old post are still kept on archive.org in the Wayback Machine. Good time, good time. Those go back even farther, but I don't consider that a blog. The internet was still so new.

So this is the End of the Beginning, not the beginning of the end. New things are on the horizon.
